Why EPS Was Started and Why It Works
A city full of talent with many excellent athletes getting overlooked for college; this is what we noticed when looking at the city of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Often we saw the top Division I recruits land their spots at big schools, but lower end Division I and Division II and Division III talent wasn’t also getting found. This quickly made us wonder what was causing that. Our realization was often times lack of resources. Whether it was schools not having the budget or staff to make cross country trips to recruit talent, or athletes being uncertain of how to expose themselves to the market, a piece was missing.
As a result, Elite Performance Scouting got created to eliminate that gap, and fill in that missing piece. We act as a liaison between the school and the athlete and their parents. We help expose athletes to colleges and universities that could use a player with their skill set. With our database of recruiters and coaches, we have the ability to connect with any college or university at every level.
The most common question we receive is what makes it work? How does acting as a liaison translate into looks and scholarships? The answer is simple, schools do not have the means to visit every athlete they are willing to offer scholarships too. It requires a lot of time, money, and staff. The beauty of what Elite Performance Scouting does is that we act as free scouts for colleges and universities. We find talent and then expose those athletes to the recruiters without charge! Colleges are able to double the amount of athletes they have to look at without having to put in any extra time or money. This makes it twice as nice for the parents and athlete because while schools are doubling the amount of athletes they are looking at, athletes are increasing their exposure tenfold! A win-win situation for all parties involved!
